The project addressed several Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) at Polaris Career Center including:

Heating plant upgrades
Building automation upgrades
Replacement of light fixutures
Replacement of drop ceilings
Replacement of exterior parking lot lights with LED lighting
Automatic dimming lights
Roof-mounted daylighting panels

Along with the energy and cost savings for the building, the positive environmental impact of this project extends far beyond this community. Reduced energy use by Polaris Career Center will prevent a significant amount of pollutants from being emitted into the atmosphere each year, including an estimated:

2,489,008 lbs. of carbon dioxide
26,903 lbs. of sulfur dioxide
14,588 lbs. of nitrogen oxide

Combined, these energy savings are equivalent to taking 184.37 cars off the road.
