CCG is a Winner in the ENERGY STAR 2010 Summary ResultsPosted on 3/22/2011 (Richfield, OH) March 21, 2011 - The ENERGY STAR 2010 Summary Results have been released, showing how many buildings were given the ENERGY STAR label last year. Of the buildings listed, CCG's customers made up:
"We are proud that our customers make up such a significant percentage of ENERGY STAR labeled buildings," said Brian Wagner, president of CCG. "It's always nice to see our dedication to quality pay off when our customers are honored with this prestigious recognition." Additionally, when compared with every building ever earning the ENERGY STAR label, CCG's customers made up 5 percent of all Ohio ENERGY STAR labeled buildings and 20 percent of all 93 Ohio K-12 labeled buildings. ENERGY STAR was introduced by the EPA in 1992 as a voluntary, market-based partnership to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency. To qualify for the ENERGY STAR, a building must score in the top 25 percent based on EPA's National Energy Performance Rating System. Only 13,424 buildings nationwide have become ENERGY STAR labeled, and just 4,898 of these are office buildings. Other buildings include supermarkets, schools, hotels, banks, hospitals, courthouses, warehouses, dormitories and big-box retail buildings.
