CCG Offices Recognized with ENERGY STAR Award for Third Consecutive Year
Posted on 3/14/2011
(Richfield, Ohio) March, 2011 - CCG Offices, home to CCG Automation and CCG Energy Solutions, in Richfield, Ohio, has earned the distinction of becoming an ENERGY STAR labeled building from the Environmental Protection Agency for the third consecutive year. CCG is one of only 83 office buildings in Ohio to achieve this award and only 36 have earned the honor for more than one year.
CCG's business is focused on helping others become more energy efficient while maintaining a comfortable environment to work in.
"We are honored to receive this prestigious distinction for the third year," said Brian Wagner, president of CCG. "We think it's the best way to show our customers how strongly we believe in energy conservation and that every business can contribute to making its community greener."
Commercial buildings that have earned the ENERGY STAR Award use nearly 40 percent less energy than average buildings and emit 35 percent less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, offering a significantly smaller carbon footprint. Buildings excel due to good energy management practices such as routine energy efficiency benchmarking.
About ENERGY STAR
ENERGY STAR was introduced by the EPA in 1992 as a voluntary, market-based partnership to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency. To qualify for the ENERGY STAR, a building must score in the top 25 percent based on EPA's National Energy Performance Rating System. Only 13,424 buildings nationwide have become ENERGY STAR labeled, and just 4,898 of these are office buildings. Other buildings include supermarkets, schools, hotels, banks, hospitals, courthouses, warehouses, dormitories and big-box retail buildings.
